Dogs and dog lovers are invited to the 2nd Annual WagFest & Fair! 

  • Saturday, September 21st
  • 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Posse Grounds Pavilion
  • FREE

WagFest & Fair is the perfect day out for dogs and their two-legged friends (owners/family). This canine resource event will feature booths where you can stop, shop and learn from the area’s best dog-related product and service providers.  Demonstrations, raffles and give-aways will be scheduled throughout the morning.   It’s FREE, fun, and family-friendly!Wagfest & Fair 2018

For the safety of the dogs and owners, please observe the following rules:

  • All dogs must be current on vaccinations.
  • All dogs must be kept on a leash.
  • All dog handlers must be 18 years or older and supervise dogs at all times.
  • Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.

Event/Activity Schedule:

Event Schedule – Pavilion Stage

9:00am – Welcome & Parade - Take this opportunity to strut your dog’s stuff across the Pavilion stage!  This is your opportunity to showcase your loveable four-legged friend to the crowd before visiting the exhibitors.

9:30am – Northern Arizona Service Dogs - A presentation by Northern Arizona Service Dogs.

10:00am – Pets, Self-selection and Aromatherapy– Stillpoint Aromatics - It’s time to bust the myths around using aromatherapy with pets, and have fun doing it! Virginia Joy MA, CCA, CBC, LMT, will share information backed by research on how to help your pet benefit from essential oils.  Essential oils and extracts are a wonderful addition to your “medicine bag” for your fur babies.  They can be used safely and effectively to improve your pet’s quality of life.

10:30am – Dog Talk:  How to Converse with Your Canine - Learn dog communication tips from Maia Kincaid Ph.D., world renowned animal communicator, author and founder of the Sedona International School for Animal & Nature Communication (  

11:00 am – City of Sedona K9 Officer Reed & Max - Demonstration performed by K9 Officer Reed and his partner Max. Learn more about Max and the K9 unit.

11:30amAZ Dog Training presents:  The “Place” Command - Excellent management tool for teaching your dog good manners.  Door bell rings, give your dog the “place” command; guests enter your house as your well-mannered calm dog is lying in “place”.  This cornerstone training is one of the first in basic obedience that will help in managing your pup.

12:00pm – Event Closing
