Pavilion Open House Showcase- May 3 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the beautiful outdoor pavilion at Barbara Antonsen Park within pavilion sidePosse Grounds Park.  The community is welcome to enjoy a walk-through of this amazing facility that was over ten years in the making.  This is a unique opportunity to experience what this facility has to offer.  Stroll the grounds, enjoy the live music and performances and have a bite to eat while you sit on the green grass.  More information.

Military Service Park Inscriptions- Applications are being accepted to have a name inscribed on the wall within the park.  Applicants must have been a Sedona resident for at least a year and honorably discharged from the military.  Deadline is May 15.  Names will be visible by Memorial Day 2017.  More information.

New Toddler Playground- The week of May 8th the toddler playground at Sunset Park will be closed for renovations.  Thanks to a grant from Yavapai Apache Nation and a donation from the Sedona Oak Creek Canyon Lions Club, the playground is being updated with brand new playground equipment for our little tots!

Spring Concert Series- Live music at the pavilion.  Free concerts from 5 to 7 p.m. and food available for sale.  May 17, DiVoM and Adalia Tara.  May 24, decker. May 31, Saith Band.  More information.

Adult Summer Softball League- Registration begins May 1.  $275 per team plus a $15 player’s fee.  Start building your team now.  This league will begin June 1.  Registration deadline is May 18.  Don’t have a team but want to play?  Call Parks and Recreation and we put you on the pick-up list for the other team captains.  More information.

Summer Splash Pool Party- School’s out for the summer!  May 19 from noon to 3 p.m., Tweens (grades 5-8) are invited to spend their Friday with us at a pool party filled with games on deck and pizza to eat, all for $5.  side view

Sedona Community Pool- Open to the public Saturday, May 20!  Summer Schedule here!  The summer season will run from May 20- August 6.  The pool is open six days a week.  Swim lessons begin June 5 and four sessions are available both in the morning and evening.  Registration for swim lessons is accepted at the pool and begins June 1. Aqua Zumba and Water Aerobics will move back to the outdoor pool beginning May 22.  On Memorial Day, come for Open Swim and it’s FREE.  More information.

Splash Pad- Open for business!  The splash pad located at Sunset Park is now open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through September 30.  Water features are activated on a timer with the push of the button.  More information.

Summer Camps- 4 Great Options this Summer!

British Soccer Camp- Registration is open for this great summer camp. One session available this summer, ages 2-18.  Held at Posse Grounds Park.  More information.

Lego Engineering Camp- Registration is open now and will fill up.  One session available this summer, ages 5-12.  Held in the campRecreation room at Posse Grounds Park.  More information.

The Posse- Registration is open now and will fill up.  Two sessions available this summer, ages 6-11.  This recreation based camp offers sports, outdoor activities, crafts, guest speakers and snacks.  More information.

Parkour: Ongoing.  Current session began  April 20, but you can pay a drop in fee and try it now!  This is for adults and children.  Parkour is an art of movement where one trains not only their strength, power, flexibility, mobility, endurance and stamina, but also their understanding of movement. This class will promote creative, safe and healthy fun for the mind and body.   More information.
