City invites residents and businesses to online meeting on sewer project
SEDONA, Ariz. – The city of Sedona will hold an online meeting on April 14, 2020 at 3 p.m. to go over the upcoming State Route (SR) 179 Sewer Main Replacement Project.
The project consists of the removal and replacement of approximately 1,750 linear feet of sewer main along SR 179, between Copper Cliffs Drive and Schnebly Hill Road. In addition to this work, the project includes replacement of sewer main adjacent to SR 179, under the existing metal bridge crossing Oak Creek. The city and contractor, Kinney Construction Services, LLC, are set to begin the between April 15, and April 20, 2020.
Construction was originally planned to begin in June, however due to COVID-19 the city will start the project early to take advantage of lower tourism and traffic, as well as to reduce impacts to businesses that are currently closed.
Prior to construction, the city intended to hold an open house meeting for the local community. Given the COVID-19 restrictions in place, the city will host the meeting via the online video conferencing platform, Zoom. If you live or own a business along the project corridor and would like to receive an invitation to participate in this meeting, please send a request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The city is dedicated to keeping residents, businesses and visitors informed of potential impacts throughout the project. For questions and project information, call the Project Hotline at (928) 852-4164.
