SEDONA, Ariz. -- The Sedona Police Department invites residents and visitors to join officers in supporting women’s health and public safety personnel.

In October officers will trade their regular shoulder patches for pink to mark national Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The department will sell the pink patches for $10 along with pink pens and pink patch key chains for $5 each with proceeds earmarked for the fight against cancer.

How to purchase a patch, key chain or pen
Items may be purchased one of two ways:

• In person at police headquarters in the City Hall complex at 102 Roadrunner Dr.
• By mail with a minimum donation of $5 per pen or key chain and $10 per patch. Make your check payable to Sedona Police Department, and mail to: Sedona Police Department, Attn. Sherri O'Connor, 102 Roadrunner Dr., Sedona, AZ 86336.

Pink Patch proceeds will be provided to the non-profit Check for A Lump in Phoenix. Check for A Lump provides free mammograms, education, wigs and support for those who are in need within the state of Arizona.
