ADOT News: SR 89A in Oak Creek Canyon open to traffic, alternating lane restrictions in place through Thurs., June 29

See the following press release from the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) regarding an upcoming project on State Route 89A:

The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising drivers and area residents and businesses that State Route 89A through Oak Creek Canyon is currently open with lane restrictions expected to continue through Thursday, June 29. There will be no restrictions or closures from Friday, June 30 through July 4.

The planned SR 89A closure for rock blasting and rockfall mitigation activity was postponed and will be rescheduled.

Additional full closures and lane restrictions on SR 89A will be needed as this work continues on the SR 89A Oak Creek Canyon improvements projects.
