SEDONA, Ariz. — On December 5, 2025, at approximately 7:49 a.m., the Sedona Police Department responded to a vehicle–pedestrian collision in the 800 block of Dry Creek Road, in which a motorist traveling southbound struck a male subject who was actively controlling traffic within a construction zone.

The injured individual reported leg pain, and while the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, he was transported to a nearby hospital for additional medical evaluation and treatment.

The driver involved consented to roadside Standardized Field Sobriety Tests as well as a voluntary blood draw. Officers observed no signs of impairment.

The accident investigation is ongoing.

Safety reminder during ongoing construction
As construction continues along Dry Creek Road, the Sedona Police Department strongly encourages all motorists to slow down, drive cautiously and remain vigilant while traveling through construction areas. Reduced visibility, lane shifts, equipment and workers present unique hazards that require heightened attention from drivers.

Officers will maintain increased patrols to address any speeding and other hazardous driving behaviors in the area.

Commitment to public safety
The Sedona Police Department reminds drivers that construction zones require patience, reduced speeds and strict attention to changing traffic patterns. These measures save lives and protect those working to improve our roadways.
