Fire Safe Sedona program
The Fire Safe Sedona Program aims to assist property owners and neighborhoods to become wildfire resilient and provide awareness to community residents of the potential risks from wildfire threat. Take steps now to be ready for a wildfire and prepare your home and landscaping to reduce your risk from a wildfire.
Get wildfire ready
1. Get ready
Prepare yourself and your family by following the recommended resources provided in the Community Emergency Preparedness Guide.
2. Prepare your home
Take action to strengthen your home against wildfires utilizing the Insurance Institute for Businesses and Homes Safety (IBHS) Wildfire Prepared Home Program standards. Further information can be found at WildfirePrepared.org.
3. Encourage community resilience with your neighbors
A collective group of homes that are wildfire prepared may reduce risk of potential wildfire threats in their neighborhood. A Firewise USA Community certification from the Department of Forestry and Fire Management (DFFM) means a neighborhood has met the minimum standard requirement to collectively reduce their impact against wildfire threats.
