2026 Balanced Housing Strategy
The Sedona Balanced Housing Strategy will establish a clear path forward to meet the housing needs of current and future community members. This implementation-focused strategy will be used to promote development, redevelopment, adaptive reuse, and retention of housing that is appropriate for Sedona. By ‘balanced,’ we mean:
-
Providing an appropriate mix and amount of housing to reasonably meet the community’s needs with the right mix of price, size, tenures, and types.
-
Finding a balance between future housing growth and protection of the natural and cultural ecosystem of Sedona.
This project involves two main phases: first, a Housing Needs Understanding and Analysis document to set baseline housing needs data and targets; and second, a Balanced Housing Strategy to establish a path forward to meet those needs. The final Strategy will help sustain the local economy and protect Sedona’s quality of life.
