While both artists would probably be filed under “Americana” down at the local record store, their stylistic similarities are rivaled only by their differences, resulting in a sonic style that is less Simon and Garfunkel and more a kind of country-blues White Stripes, bringing elements of spaghetti folk, jazz swing, and fingerstyle blues together with a honky-stomp aesthetic that will burn your barn down with a smile on it’s face, and then rebuild it with better wood. As a trio, Griffin/Gregory brings in the talented cellist/vocalist Courtney Yeates, also a well-known musician in the NoAZ scene.
