Water Aerobics

Class Descriptions:

Aqua Fitness:

Great for all ages and abilities. Aqua Fitness is aerobic exercises performed in the shallow end of the pool, using the water as resistance. For extra resistance dumbbells and noodles may be used. Aqua Fitness helps build cardiovascular stamina, strength, balance, and flexibility. It also helps burn body fat and increase circulation to help rehab healing muscles, joints, and injuries by placing resistance on your muscles yet at a fraction of the stress and strain on your body.

Aqua Zumba:

Great for all ages and abilities, sure to increase your strength, endurance, balance, and aerobic fitness!  Christine turns the "liquid weight room" into a dance party!  Great music, great fun.  Singing highly encouraged!

Instructors

CHRISTINE TRCIC has been a Sedona & Verde Valley resident since 1991. As an Art Consultant who loves dance and fitness, she became a licensed Zumba and Zumba Gold Instructor in 2015. She has a Group Fitness Certification from the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America and is CPR/AED Certified. LINDER OLESEN is originally a Minnesotan. Escaping the weather, she lived in San Diego for 20 years. Linder completed her Bachelors and Masters in Social Work. She found her Norwegian husband in SD and was blessed with twin daughters, now 25 years old. She has always had an interest in Mind Body connection, Balance on life's journey and mindful of our energy. In 2003 she became a Yoga teacher and Trainer (ACE). She taught a Balancing your Life course through a local college in Colorado. Linder moved to Sedona from Crested Butte in 2016. She currently works at Miiamo and from home as a Bodyworker and Movement coach. She is a Thai Therapist as well as Watsu, Neuromuscular, Ortho-Bionomy, Reiki and traditional bodywork. She specializes in injury rehab. Her mission Mette... Love and Kindness towards herself and others in our walk, living life.

LIDA MATEJKA has been involved in the fitness industry since the 80’s.  She loves to move with music, join groups of people who are active and fun loving. She has led and instructed various types of classes:  Jazzercise, Step fitness, and Aquatic fitness.  She has also coached synchronized swimmers.  She has been a ZIN™ (Zumba Instructor Network) member since Aug 2010 & now will be teaching Aqua Yoga at the Sedona Pool. Lida absolutely loves teaching Aquatics classes.

Mary Farago will be our NEW Friday Water Exercise instructor.  She comes to us with over ten years of aquatic experience and is certified through the American Red Cross and the Arthritis Foundation.  The key to the H20X program is its music.  The goal is to help the class work out to the beat while enjoying some new aerobic exercises..  Come check it out and join us on Fridays.
