Become a Parks & Recreation Instructor
Do you have a skill, hobby, talent, or professional expertise you'd like to share with others? Sedona Parks & Recreation is always looking for enthusiastic instructors to help us expand recreational, educational, cultural, and wellness opportunities for our community.
Whether you're interested in leading an after-school program, teaching a summer camp, facilitating a workshop series, or offering a unique community class, we invite you to submit your program idea for consideration.
What Types of Programs Are We Looking For?
We welcome proposals for a wide variety of programs serving children, teens, adults, families, and older adults. Examples include:

Our staff works collaboratively with instructors to evaluate program proposals, determine community interest, and identify suitable facilities and scheduling opportunities.

- Nonprofit organizations
- Skilled hobbyists and community members with specialized knowledge
Both new and returning instructors are encouraged to apply.
Program Proposal Considerations
When reviewing proposals, we consider factors such as:
- Community interest and demand
- Program uniqueness and value
- Instructor qualifications and experience
- Facility and equipment requirements
- Participant safety
- Program feasibility and scheduling needs
Submission of a proposal does not guarantee program placement. Our team reviews all submissions and may contact applicants for additional information. All programs are subjected to a 2-3 month trial period and may not be renewed depending on performance metrics.
