Community Focus Areas

Community Focus Area (CFA) Plans are specific area plans that are intended to apply Community Plan goals with additional public input specific to smaller geographic areas of the city or areas that are most likely to see future development or redevelopment.

The 2024 Community Plan proposes two new Community Focus Areas: Uptown (including 'Gallery Row') and the West Sedona Commercial Corridor, areas that would benefit from more specific planning.

• Schnebly CFA Plan
  • Area along Schnebly Hill Road between the Schnebly Hill Roundabout and the Forest Service Boundary
• Soldiers Pass Rd CFA Plan
  • Commercial areas along W State Route 89A, generally around the Soldiers Pass Road intersection
• Sunset Live/Work CFA Plan
  • Industrial areas at the south end of Sunset and Shelby Drives
•  Western Gateway CFA Plan
  • Areas along W State Route 89A at the western entrance to Sedona (Girdner Trailhead, Hospital, High School)
